Clicking the '' button submits the data entered into the form and generates a new dataset entry in the database (even if there already exists a dataset with the same name, category, etc.).
Annotations
(Comprehensive) description of the dataset(s) and the corresponding application(s). There is no restriction on the text size.
Example:
Application domain
Short description of the application domain
Example:
Category
Category of the dataset. Existing categories are: Language, molecular biology, mesh design, modelling/diagnosis/control, chess, miscellaneous
Example:
Comments
Comment on peculiarities of the dataset or special terms of use and distribution.
Example:
Complexity
Give an estimate of the size of the dataset. Depending on the data format this can be in Bytes, number of facts, number of cases + avg. size of case, etc.
Example:
Contact person(s)
Select one or more contact persons for the dataset from the displayed list. To add yourself or a co-worker to this list of persons, go to the persons-page and select the add-button there. To select more than one person from the list, select the first entry like usual, then hold down the ctrl-key (this may vary over different operating systems and languages, see below) and select the other contact persons by doing a (left-) mouse-button click on their entry in the list. As this "multiple selection" varies over different operating systems, languages, and hardware configurations, you should refer to your operating system's manual for "multiple selections" or "multiple selection in list-boxes" in case the described procedure does not work.
You can try out selecting in the example on the right-hand side!
Example:
Format
Specify the format the data is in.
Example:
Further specifications
State what further information is provided with the datasets (e.g. documentation, background knowledge)
Example:
Last update
The date of the last update is automatically computed, and does not have to be provided by the user.
Name(abbrev)
Abbreviation of the dataset´s name.
Example:
Name(full)
Your dataset's full name.
Example:
Optional contact address
In case the contact person is not registered in the MLnet OiS list of persons, you can provide the person's e-mail address here.
Example:
Reference(s)
Publication or list of publications related to this dataset.
Example:
Related group(s)
Select the group(s) that is(are) responsible for the dataset from the displayed list. A short description on how to select more than one entry in a list box is given under the help message for "contact person" above.
You can try out selecting in the example on the right-hand side!
Example:
Reset
Clicking the '' button clears all fields in the form.
Send confirmation e-mail to:
To verify the validity of your addition or update, you have to provide an e-mail address to which a short confirmation mail is send. A copy of this is also mailed to the MLnet OiS administrator in order to be able to check the contribution.
Example:
Type
Specify the type of the dataset. This is mainly meant to distinguish between multi-relational / ILP datasets and propositional / attribute-value data.
Example:
Update
Clicking the '' button submits the data entered into the form and updates the existing entry of the dataset.
WWW / FTP
You can specify three different internet addresses from where to get the dataset.
Please provide the corresponding protocol-prefix ´http://´, ´ftp://´, ´gopher://´, ´mailto:´ when specifying the address.
